Das Mulchgerät für Obstbau gehört zur Gruppe der landwirtschaftlichen Mulcher und ist in erster Reihe für das Zerkleinern von Pflanzenrückständen nach dem Beschneiden sowie von Unkraut und Gras in Obst- und Weingärten bestimmt. Neben seinem primären Zweck kann er für das Zerkleinern der Pflanzenmasse und zur Bearbeitung und Wartung aller anderen landwirtschaftlichen, gemeinschaftlichen, vernachlosten und unbearbeiteten Flächen eingesetzt werden. Aufgrund der großen Geschwindigkeit des Läufers, der elektronisch ausgeglichen wird, zerkleinern die Messer die Pflanzenreste genau und wirksam und erzeugen aus ihnen einen leichten Humusdünger, womit die Qualität und natürliche Bodenfruchtbarkeit erhöht und der Bedarf an Kunstdüngern gesenkt wird. Auf diese Weise wird die Kostensenkung der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion und Erhöhung der Erträge direkt beeinflusst.
