Der Siebkettenroder, Upus Z656, ist eine einreihige Maschine, die mit dem Dreipunktanbau verbunden ist und durch die Zapfwelle des Traktors angetrieben wird. Der Roder kann mit dem Traktor, dem Aufhängungssystem der 2. Kat verbunden werden. Der Roder verfügt über Treibräder mit einstellbarer Arbeitstiefe. Die richtig eingestellte Pflugschar gräbt die Aufhäufung mit den Kartoffeln aus, die danach zum Förderband geführt wird. Das bewegende und vibrierende Band zerkrümelt die Aufhäufung, indem die Bodenreste durch die Stäbe des Förderers umgeschüttet werden und gleichzeitig die ausgegrabenen Knollen / Pflanzenwurzel in das hintere Teil der Maschine gefördert werden. Im Hinterteil befindet sich ein angemessenes profiliertes Schüttgitter, das die ausgegrabene Kartoffel an die Aufhäufung hinter dem Roder richtet. Das Schüttgitter garantiert die entsprechende Lage der Kartoffelknollen, damit sie nicht durch den Reifen des Traktors bei der nächsten Fahrt zerstört werden.
Die Stäbe können mit einem Gummiband geschützt werden, um die Zerstörung der Knollen zu begrenzen.
Die Maschine eignet sich für die Felder mit den typischen Breiten zwischen den Reihen, für leichten und mittleren Boden mit entsprechender Feuchtigkeit.
